1992: “Freda” Black Prince Holidays, Acton Bridge
My Sister’s had won the holiday battle this year, so we’d had two weeks in Portugal.
On a trip to Black Prince’s nearby base my Dad had made a few enquiries as to late deals, and soon after we arrived to collect 43ft, Qe2 class “Freda”.
Newly built that season she was of their latest, “Qe” class. At the time quite advanced, and their grey colour scheme (later tamed) and large, odd shape forward window was not loved by all.
We found her very comfortable and warm for three days, important as it was bitterly cold!
