Alpha Dual Steer Models

Above: Alpha�s 32ft dual steer was their first, launching around 1986. This had two singles or a double forward with its own wc/shower cabin, an aft double, again en-suite with an external helm above. The central saloon had the galley opposite, an internal helm and the settee is raised to give good views.

Below: This 42ft dual steer was their second offering. It was derived from their sliding central canopy mould with a fixed central saloon and a second steering position outside on the roof behind. Not many were built, though Alpha still run two on hire, and Crown Blue Line once ran several in their French hirefleet.

Below & Left: For 2007 appeared Alpha�s latest mould. A 35ft �Highliner�, a scaled down version of their 44 footer. A variety of layouts were offered, usually accommodating from 4 up to 6 persons, with sleeping cabins fore and aft, with a central saloon.

Below & Left: Alpha 44ft �Highliner�. This design was launched around 2001 and at 44ft appears with a variety of layouts sleeping up to nine people. There is a large central saloon and stylish �teardrop� style windows which add to the stylish look.

Above & Left: For 1991 this 42ft dual steer model was launched, with several different layouts accommodating between 4 and 10. Able to pass under all Broads bridges at suitable tides is a rare achievement for dual steer craft, but as a compromise its headroom continually decreases in the forward cabin, which is always the saloon, usually with �U� shaped seating in the nose of the craft.
